The Tom Harvey Award for Citizenship for 2019 nominations are now closed. The winner will be announced at the Commonwealth Day lunch on Monday 11 March at NSW Parliament House.

Tom Harvey Award recipient, Max Rabbett (third from right waiting to met Prince Harry).

Our Tom Harvey award recipient was one of the few chosen to meet with Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Sussex when they visited Dubbo during their tour to Australia in October this year.

Max Rabbett was one of the 10 people who were part of the official greeting guard to meet Their Royal Highnesses, Prince Harry and Princess Meghan at the event.

“I have been chosen and this is an extremely humbling and exciting experience for me and I could not have done it without the recognition and assistance from the Australia Youth Trust” said Max.

“Since receiving the Tom Harvey Award in 2017 I have been recognised and appreciated through many various achievements and recognition and I would have to say that this is one of the greatest honours which has come to pass since receiving the award.

This will truly be something that I remember for the rest of my life.”
